MEEL "McGraw-Hill Connect 2 Calculus Conceptual Videos" ABSTRACT: For the past year, I have been involved with McGraw-Hill in the development of conceptual videos for use in calculus courses. In particular, there are twenty five essential calculus concepts discussed by this video set designed to place the concepts into real-world settings. In particular, the videos cover topics from single and multivariable calculus. The developers propose that "these videos can be used in the classroom to motivate a topic prior to lecture, or students can use them on their own in preparation for class, quizzes, and tests". Our time will be spent viewing several of the videos and discussing their potential use in the classroom and what potential impact they might have on student understanding.
