Common exams are given in order to insure uniformity across sections of these courses. It is the policy of the Foundational Mathematics Committee in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics not to give makeup exams in these courses (aside from exams missed due to military duty, weather, or religious observance, as noted in the BGSU Academic Charter). Missed exams are dealt with in different ways in different classes, but always with the goal of balancing the need of the student who missed the exam with the goal of uniformity and fairness across the sections of the course. Some University programs, such as Athletics, have provisions for students to take exams "on the road" and we are happy to work with units having such a system so that a student doesn't miss an exam. The information on this page is provided in an attempt to avoid conflicts between common exams in Mathematics and other University events, to the extent possible. Contact Jim Albert, Coordinator of Foundational Mathematics, albert@bgsu.edu for more information.
Common exam dates and times for a specific course can be found on the BGSU class schedule; look for the section with multiple evening meeting times.
Check with your instructor to determine the room that you should go to for your exam; it might not be your regular classroom.
