Review Problems for Exams



Note: NO MAKE-UP EXAMS WILL BE GIVEN so it is extremely important you take the exam on the assigned night. See the syllabus for details.

The exams will take place in a room that is different than your classroom and possibly different than your class schedule. The exams will take place in Olscamp 111, Olscamp 115 and MSc 220. To find where your exam will be Click here.

Exam 1: January 31, 2008, 7:30 - 9:00 p.m.

The first exam will cover sections 1.3, 2.1, 2.2, 6.2, 3.1 and 3.2. Below are two documents to help you prepare for the exam. The first document is a very brief outline of the topics we covered in class. The second document is a review guide containing all different types of problems and several of each type so you have plenty of problems to practice with.

The Math and Stats Tutoring Center (MAST) will be having a Review Session on Monday, January 28 (three days before the exam) from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. in MSc 308B, which in is the Ogg Science Library. All are welcome and encouraged to come!

Also, there will be a Question and Answer Review Session Thursday, January 31 (the day of the exam) from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. in MSc 210. Again, all are welcome and encouraged to come!

Exam 2: February 28, 2008, 7:30 - 9:00 p.m.

The second exam will cover sections 3.4, 2.1/3.1 (regression), 4.1, 4.2 and 4.5. Below are two documents to help you prepare for the exam. The third exam will cover sections R3/R7, 4.7, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4, 5.5 and 5.6. Below are two documents to help you prepare for the exam. Final Exam: April 29, 2008, 8:15 - 10:15 p.m.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

1. The Final Exam will be on TUESDAY night, April 29th from 8:15 to 10:15 p.m. Do NOT show up on Thursday night. It will be too late. According to the W/WF policy, if you do not take the final exam you will earn a WF in the course. So it is important you take the exam TUESDAY night!

2. Your Final Exam may NOT be in the same room as your previous three exams. To determine where your exam will be Click Here. Make sure you are familiar with where you need to go prior to the final exam (Tuesday, April 29th).


The final exam will cover all the sections covered on the three previous exams plus section 5.7. Below are two documents to help you prepare for the exam.
